Reach-Up Inc. works in partnership with families in Central Minnesota to provide comprehensive and responsive services. These services include: Early Head Start for pregnant women and families with children, ages birth to three, Head Start for families with children, ages 3-5 and KinderStart Transition Program works with families who have kindergarten age children, who have completed Head Start.

PROGRAM AND HR SUPPORT SPECIALIST

The Program and HR Support Specialist is FT, 12 month position responsible for: implementing procedures to identify, attract, and onboard well-qualified professionals for all agency positions; researching and writing grants to complement and enrich program offerings; identifying volunteer engagement opportunities to support agency programs; and supporting safety and other program-area needs to benefit children, families and staff. 

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to)

  • Assists the HR Coordinator with the marketing, recruitment, interviewing, reference and background checks, and orienting of new staff, including applicant tracking.
  • Coordinates volunteer program, including all of the required paperwork, onboarding, and ongoing monitoring procedures, through engagement with parents and community (e.g., Foster Grandparent Program, local colleges and universities, Early Learning Corps, etc.).
  • Supports agency involvement in job fairs, high school and college career exploration and mentorship programs, and other community engagement opportunities.
  • Researches, writes, and monitors grants; completes final reports.
  • Fosters a culture of agency/staff safety through leadership and collective engagement to ensure safe work practices are a shared responsibility of all staff.
  • Maintains a positive work environment by performing and communicating in a professional manner with children, families, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Demonstrates confidentiality in all matters.
  • Maintains a safe workplace and fosters a culture of attention to health and safety.
  • Understanding of Minnesota Maltreatment Law to keep all children safe from any type of harm.

Requirements

  • Education – B.A./B.S. degree in HR, Communications, or related field
  • Experience – 1 year preferred
  • Non-Exempt, full time, Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week

Compensation

TEACHER/FAMILY ADVOCATE

Full time, 11 month, Teacher/Family Advocate opening in the St. Cloud area.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining a comprehensive early childhood education program for children 3 – 5 years old.
  • Planning and implementing curriculum, maintaining files and conducting home visits.
  • Working with families to address their social service needs, identify strengths and set goals.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards and D.H.S. Rule 3.
  • Supervising Early Childhood Assistants and other individuals placed in the classroom.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field strongly preferred.
  • AA Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
  • CDA required.
  • Monday – Friday, 40 hours/week, August – June.

Compensation:

  • Wage scale starts at $45,003/year plus great benefits with a BA/BS degree.
  • Wage scale starts at $38,722/year plus great benefits with an AA degree.

EARLY CHILDHOOD ASSISTANTS – HS

Full and Part time Early Childhood Assistant openings in the St. Cloud and Big Lake area Head Start classrooms. Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

  • Assist Teachers in the classroom.
  • Provide a safe, nurturing environment for children, 3 to 5 years old.
  • Work individually with children who have special needs.
  • Lead planned small group and large group activities.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required. AA degree or CDA with 1 year of experience preferred.
  • Part time:  Mon – Thursday, 29 hours per week, Mid-August to Mid-June
  • Full time:  Mon – Friday, 40 hours per week, Mid-August to Mid-June

Compensation:

  • Wage scale starts at $18.00 per hour.

SUBSTITUTES

  • Teacher, Assistant, and Cultural Navigator openings in the classrooms. Substitute Teachers earn $234 per day or $117 per half day. Substitute Assistants rate of pay is $18.00/hour. Substitute Cultural Navigators rate of pay is $18.59/hour. Substitutes enjoy free meals while making a difference in the lives of children and families they serve.
  • Food Service Assistant openings in the kitchen. Substitute Food Service Assistants rate of pay is $15.33/hour. Substitutes enjoy free meals while making a difference in the lives of children and families they serve.
